Wedding Stationery Timeline
It’s never too early to get your orders in. I know all too well that when planning a wedding, time really does go fast!
It’s a good idea to get your date booked in with us to guarantee I will be there to help you all the way leading up to your big day!
Before the Wedding
Save the Dates can be ordered as soon as the wedding date and venue are confirmed, usually 6-12 months before the wedding. They help to announce your engagement and give your guests early notice of your wedding date. With lives getting busier I’ve found these to be very popular. Especially, if you are getting married abroad or if you have overseas guests to invite. They are also a good idea if you plan to get married in the holidays.
Wedding Invitations are traditionally sent out 2-3 months before the wedding, allowing your guests enough time to arrange travel and accommodation. This time also allows you to adjust your guest list for those who can’t make it. You will also need to provide your suppliers of final numbers.
Reply Cards are sent out with the invitation. From previous experience, if you send reply cards you are far more likely to get a speedier response. Make sure you allow enough time to chase up any outstanding replies. (You’ll be a very lucky couple if you don’t need to do this!)
Place Cards can be ordered when you have the confirmed guest list. Depending on your location and the level of detail the completed information must be with me at least 10 working days before your wedding date.
Table Plans are probably one of the most difficult parts for you to confirm due to late changes. Depending on your location and the level of detail the completed information must be with me at least 10 working days before your wedding date. However I will be in touch with you leading up to the wedding and will accommodate where possible.
The Order of Service can be a timely task due to the design and wording going back and fourth with your church. Ideally the first draft should be with me at least 4 weeks before your wedding date to allow for changes and creation.
Other items, such as menus, table names, favour tags, signs, the guest book etc can be sent on when you have the information ready.
After the Wedding
Thank You Cards are sent after the wedding to thank your guests and those who bought you a gift but couldn’t attend. If you plan to include a photo of your wedding day these will need to be ordered after the day.
If you need any further help or advice, please just let me know. I’m here to help throughout.
